Introduction of the Organic Agriculture Promotion Center

1. Origin of Establishment:

The Organic Agriculture Promotion Center (OAPC), established by National Chung Hsing University and the Council of Agriculture (Restructured into the Ministry of Agriculture on August 1, 2023), Executive Yuan in 2019, is organized and developed under the Organic Agriculture Promotion Act as specified in Article 5 to set a board of consultants and formulate an Organic Agriculture Promotion Program. During the first conference of the Organic Agriculture Promotion Consulting Board on 3 September 2021, the OAPC was approved to be their Project Promotion Unit. The OAPC will be responsible for the decision-making reference and effectiveness evaluation measures to assist the administrative department in drafting the Organic Agriculture Promotion Program, and support the research and the establishment of professional education center in the next four years, in order to promote organic agriculture in Taiwan.
